abstract = "The Brazilian System of Environmental Data Collection (SBCDA)
consists of a network of environmental data collection (PCDs),
belonging to various users platforms scattered throughout the
territory and Brazilian territorial sea that transmit their data
to satellites. The National Institute for Space Research (INPE)
provides the service, currently using the SCD-1 and SCD-2
satellite, Receiving Stations of Cuiab{\'a} and Alc{\^a}ntara,
and the Center for Mission Data Collection (SINDA), located in
Natal-RN. These satellites are already in operation for almost 22
and 16, respectively, but still show a very satisfactory
performance. This paper presents a comparison between actual data
received by the system and data produced by simulations. The main
tool used for this purpose was the STK software - System Tool Kit,
produced by AGI (Analytical Graphics, Inc.), which enables the
modeling of orbiting satellites, providing ample backdrop for
various analyzes of the past and prospects for the future . Other
tools for treatment and conversion of files were also used to feed
a database, within which various analyzes have become possible.
These results were used to assess the current state of the system
and suggest improvements for future deployments that are underway.
Many other tests may also be performed in the future.",
